Muna Abdurrahman (b. 1987 Mansoura, Egypt) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Egypt. Her work spans painting, illustration, photography, and digital media, often weaving together themes of memory, nature, identity, and emotional fragmentation. A self-taught artist with a background in editorial illustration and visual design, her practice moves fluidly between traditional and digital formats, exploring the visual language of layered textures, symbolic forms, and intuitive mark-making.
Her early career in political cartooning shaped a strong foundation in visual storytelling and social commentary, later expanding into a broader exploration of conceptual and emotional landscapes. Drawing from personal history and collective experience, her work often reflects on the tensions between vulnerability and resilience, chaos and stillness, form and formlessness.
Muna’s illustrations and designs have been published and exhibited in various contexts, including editorial platforms, book covers, and collaborative client projects. She continues to develop an evolving body of work that bridges fine art and applied visual communication.
